ISLAMABAD – Bahria University and Leicester University (UK) signed an agreement here Monday. The agreement envisages cooperation between the two universities in varied academic areas. To begin with Bahria University’s selected faculty is proceeding to Leicester University for Ph .D and MS programmes in April and September this year.

 

The two universities have also agreed to start split undergraduate and Doctoral programmes in various disciplines namely Computer Sciences, Engineering and Management. An important area where university of Leicester and Bahria University have agreed to work together is Distance Learning.

 

Rector Bahria University Vice Admiral (Rted) Farooq Rashid termed this agreement as historic which opened a great opportunity for the faculty and students of Bahria University for higher education in United Kingdom.

 

Dr John Fothergill, Pro Vice Chancellor signed agreement on behalf of Leicester University. Dr Jan Jarvis Senior International Officer was also present at the ceremony which was attended by senior faculty members of Bahria University.
